Today we met with Russ at the Operation Hope shelter.  We loved the facility.  There is lime green carpet, a playground, lots of couches.  It is much more welcoming than I would have expected.  We were hoping to meet with Russ earlier than today, but it was hard because he wasn't able to meet us over the weekend.  

Overall, it was a successful meeting because we got some photographs (we will post them in a separate post).  We talked about doing 3 videos.  We will do two short 2 minute videos to stream on the website, and a longer video that he can show at presentations with a projector.  One of the short videos will include an overview of the facility and what they are all about.  The other will be an interview with a family or some kids that showcase a success story from the shelter.  The longer video will be a combination of both.  His aim for the video is to show people that they are doing a good thing for the community with the assumption that funds will follow.  

Our next step is to talk with the group and figure out when we can go back to film while the shelter is empty.  Monday-Friday before 4pm is when we are able to do this.
