Blake Schilling (Post #2)

So we met up again with Russ at the Operation Hope Shelter. We filmed every room there so we could figure out what lighting we would need. It turns out that all the shelter has for lighting is overhead florescent lights. There are not too many, and they are placed way high up on the ceiling of the warehouse. So as far as lighting goes the situation is horrible. We are most likely going to have to set up each shot with lights. We discussed with Russ the interviews we are going to be shooting, and how he wanted them to be perceived by the viewers. We also set the location for Russ' interview inside of his office, and are set to shoot that next time we meet up with him. Overall this trip to Operation Hope taught us a lot about what we need for next time. We are now set to shoot the first interview and start filming the inside of Operation Hope. Russ also let us know that he had a list of people for us to interview, some being families and success stories of Operation Hope. To date I have added my camera experience to the group, along with what I know from other experience like lighting, sound, editing, etc.
